Imperial Treasure La Mian Xiao Long Bao @ Marina Square

Momo and I had to run some errands last weekend. After we finished what we were suppose to do, she said she was hungry. We decided to get something light. It was tea time at 3pm. We were at Marina Square, so we walked over to the food section to grab something to eat. It was an easy decision. Momo said she liked the food at Imperial Treasure and so we walked in.

Momo ordered this dish called the Soup Rice.
This was the Soup Rice with Vegetables and Mushroom $5.00

I teased her when the food arrived. This can easily be done at home! Over night rice mixed with stock and vegetables and you have this dish!

But she said this dish was really nice here. It has the home cooked taste and she liked it.
I tried a spoonful of the soup, the soup's not bad, the broth was rather tasty.
(I think it's too simple and I can do the same thing at home for $1 LOL..)

Momo also ordered the Wanton with Hot Chilli Sauce ($4.80) to go with her porridge.

I know I won't be able to prepare the next dish at home as good as them. So I think it's worth ordering.
The hot chilli sauce is not as spicy, but it has this slight vinegary taste. It goes very well with the wontons!

We were on a Wanton eating spree! We also ordered the Pork and Vegetable Wanton Soup ($4.50).

Pork and Vegetable Wanton Soup

It tasted similar to the Wanton in Hot Chilli Sauce. The wantons were a bit firmer compared to the other bowl. But the soup's not nice though. It's just 'plain soup', which I only had 1 mouth of it. I finished the whole bowl of wantons by myself though. I like the texture of the wanton. Smooth silky skin and wrapped inside a mixture of meat and vegetable that gives it a rather nice bite.

Imperial Treasure @ Changi Airport Terminal 1

Sis and I are flying off to London to attend our younger sis' wedding. Our parents and aunt flew on Sunday. We are only flying off today.

Our flights delayed. Why waste time, when I can post something up here.

Porridge that sis and momo ate just a moment ago...
The porridge is not too bad according to sis and momo. I am planning to sleep on the plane straight away so I am not eating. ;-)

When you are hungry and want porridge, you can consider this. ;-p

Oh, if you order after 11 pm, you get it for half price.
But we had to pay full price because it's only 10.30pm when we ordered.

Imperial Treasure La Mian Xiao Long Bao @ Marina Square (II)

Continuation from yesterday's post..

Uncle had Chicken Soup La Mian. It comes with plain dry la mian.

Cousin shared with Aunt the Pai Ku La Mian.
The la mian here is the soupy one. Lots of la mian! We would have ordered less if we knew earlier the portions were big.

It's at Level 2, Marina Sq if you are interested to try it.

Imperial Treasure La Mian Xiao Long Bao @ Marina Square

For lunch today, we ended up at Marina Square again! Just like last Sunday, it was impossible to go to Raffles City carpark. Marina seems to be the place with the most carpark in the area.

Walking around, we somehow ended up at Imperial Treasure La Mian Xiao Long Bao. Initially we thought it was Crystal Jade, then realise, it was Imperial Treasure when we saw the menu. haha..

What did we eat?

Coming into a restaurant with the name Xiao Long Bao, of course we have to try their XLB. The skin texture is different, but it taste good. Enough 'soup' inside and a tad generous with the salt :-) But it was good.

The sister of XLB would be Guo Tie, it's the pan fried sis. I always prefer the steam ones than the fried one. Just my preference, but others says it was good. Passed little cousin's tastebuds, so can make it. :-)

As we had two little girls today, they shared this Fried La Mian. I tried some, it reminds me of Char Kuey Teow. Instead of CKT, it's La Mian. Quite tasty.

For me, I wanted something spicy, so I had Suan La Tang La Mian. I like it because it's not sour. The bowl is huge, look at the big spoon, I recommend sharing it with another person.

more tomorrow...
