This was Thursday's lunch. We were wondering what to eat, and then a colleague suddenly remembered it's Thursday. His wife works in Science Park II and had told him that the Nasi Lemak (that's the meal of the day on Thursday) at the CSIT Staff Canteen is not bad.
So he asked us to try it, and so we did. We boarded the free Science Park lunch shuttle and went over to Science Park II/III. We alighted at the last stop, and walked a few steps to CSIT.
This place gets very crowded!
The rice is not too bad, and there's a whole lot of 'stuff' on it for $3.50.
1 fried chicken wing, some sambal sotong, sambal goreng, lots of nasi lemak chilli on a cucumber,
ikan bilis and nuts, otak-otak and a fried egg.
It's only available on Thursday I was told. It's not the best nasi lemak in Singapore, but good enough for people who are bored of eating the same old thing in the NUS/NUH/Science Park area. :-)
I guess most of you won't come all the way here unless you work in NUS, NUH or Science Parks 1, 2 or 3. There's a shuttle service (that's very punctual) that brings people to Science Park 3 from NUS/NUH, the different Science Parks.

Khansama Tandoori Village @ Science Park I
Every now and then, the few of us in the office will crave for some nice Indian food. If you work in the west side of Singapore, you most probably have been given a flyer by this restaurant called Khansama. They will have someone at the train station giving out flyers, they slip their flyers on the car windscreens. They have people standing at traffic lights giving out flyers. In short, you can't miss them. LOL..
Maybe their boss believes it's an effective method. Maybe it is after all. When we want to have some decent Indian cuisine, we think of them. So, the few of us took the free Science Park shuttle bus to Science Park I.
So this was what we ate to satisfy our cravings. Their tandoori chicken. Unlike other places where their tandoori chicken's always dry, theirs is always moist. One of the better ones that we like.
Dpuk and 'Old Cat' both had their Chicken Tikka sets. 'Old Cat' was too tempted by what's written on the menu, all the different ways of preparing chicken all on a plate. It looks good right? Enough food to stuff them silly.
A bit of close up ya. They look really tempting right?
All of all different ways of preparation, both of them said this 'dark green' style is the nicest of them all.
I had the Chicken Briyani instead. It comes in a steeel bowl and two bowls of sauces.
Nice and crispy. Dip it with the youghurt sauce and it's delicious.
There's around 4 chunks of chicken hidden inside this bowl of fragrant rice.
Another colleague 'pirate' had I think the butter chicken set meal.
His came with the super sweet dessert 'ping pong' ball. haha...
Satisfied our cravings for a while. :-)

Blooie's Roadhouse Bar & Grill @ Science Park II (Main Course Pix)
Sorry to keep you waiting. Here's Part II. Today's a busy day too at work.
Colleague's Beef Burger. Looks absolutely delicious! $18
Another colleague's baked chicken pasta. (which happen to be the set meal of the day, which came with clam chowder, which we all think errr...) $18
This is Cheese Burger. Our boss' lunch. Yup, he joined us for lunch. $12
Another colleague's Cajun Chicken. $16
This is my rack of ribs. hehe. I seem to be always eating ribs eh? It's called BBQ Ribs A Nice Rack. (the even bigger version is called a Great Rack) $15.80
Oh yes, the other side of it, which had the mash and vegetables. Do you find it interesting that they serve xiaobaicai instead of the other normally expected veggies? I think I like xiaobaicai better! Yes, most of the main courses had the mash and veg. (or variants of potato, eg wedges)
The birthday boy had fish. I remember the name, it was called Blackened Dory. $18 haha..
I think I have one dish missing. I think it was the Cajun Chicken Burger. Hmmm how did I miss it? Must be too hungry. :-)

Blooie's Roadhouse Bar & Grill @ Science Park II
You know it's not a good day at work when your phone rings non stop, so many emails from helpdesk gets escalated up to you. Usually it stays at helpdesk. It was just fixing this and that. Horrible. (yes, it's Monday too.)
But... we are not going to let some pesky things at work prevent us from what we planned last week. Today's a colleague's birthday. We are all going out to eat! We have been having too much cheapo food and rushed meals too.
The birthday boy got out of meeting at nearly 12 noon, and off we went. We planned to go to HV, somehow we all ended up at Blooie's Roadhouse Bar and Grill at Science Park II.
OK. The food we had. This was the Nachos starter that was quite yummy. (anything was will good to hungry people) $12.80
We were so hungry and this was what was left. Surprised that no one licked the plate? haha...
We had 7 of us today, so we also ordered another starter. It's a Sausage Salad. 3 different kind of delicious sausages. We like the middle one best. $16
See, I only get 10 seconds to take photos, see how fast the knife and fork is!
I have to always take picture like a paparazzi.
The rest of what we ate? Tomorrow lah. Had a tiring day. We had to fix more stuff when we came back from lunch. The phone was blinking with missed calls. Anyway, lunch was a good temporary break!
Happy Birthday Mr Lai!
