Marche @ 313@Somerset

313@Somerset, one of the many new shopping malls that have opened recently. On Wednesday, I went to 'take a look'. Aunt tagged along and she enjoyed herself at Uniqlo. This Japanese chain has lots of clothing that looks cheap. Aunt said it's like Primark in UK! haha...

Anyway, before we walked the shops, we had a quick break at Marche. They have reopened another branch here at 313@Somerset.

Marche Guest Card - 313 @ Somerset

Aunt had her usual coffee fix. Cousin and I had ice cream.
Why did we pick the ice cream? Because we spotted a 1-for-1 for the Movenpick Ice Cream!

This is Creme Brulee. Oh so yummy.....

Mövenpick Crème Brûlée

The Swiss Chocolate flavour. Ohh.... just lovely.

Mövenpick Swiss Chocolate

So with the 1-for-1 by using UOB Credit cards, I paid $4.90 for 2 scoops (cups) of ice cream.
Nice place to take a break if you are tired shopping. ;-)

Marche @ Vivo City

Right now, while you are viewing this post, Momo, Keropokgirl and Keropokman are holidaying. It's our third day out of Singapore. As this is a daily photoblog. We got to get the post going....

If you are wondering where we are, we should have stayed 2 days in Darwin, and now in Katherine, Northern Territory, Australia.

This post is when sis and future bro-in-law came to visit us last month. We went to Marche after dinner to sit down and have a drink.

Root Beer. This is Australian Root Beer, where we are right now.
But I don't think they are made in NT though. Think it is from Victoria where the 3 of us lived for a few years.

The hand squeezed juice.

And a banana chocolate crepe that we shared.

Crepes are something that most people enjoy. It's quite versatile too. We love both savoury and sweet crepes. :-)

Marche @ Vivocity

Sis and I, we were at Vivocity and decided we should grab some quick dinner. Heard that Marche moved here, but I did not know where it is located, sis said its upstairs. She brought our cousin there to have afternoon tea before.

Located at the roof, or the open area, you can find Marche.

For those who have not been there, they have these signs on the table to indicated if the tables taken or available. This was taken from our table.

Instead of a flimsy card they used previously, they have caught up with technology. Proximity cards are now used. You take this card around the restaurant and order your food, they will electronically note it in the system.

We wanted something quick and easy so we can go on with shopping.
We had a medium vegetable. You get a medium size plate and fill up with whatever you want from the veg counter. You can see the mushroom that we love. Carrots, cauliflowers, etc are all hidden below :-) $7.20

This is the other thing we ordered. Mediterranean Seafood Paella. Very tasty. $15.80

Might come again to try other stuff.
