Last week, we were 'window shopping' in Orchard and we were hungry and tired. We were around The Centrepoint in Orchard Road so Sis and Momo selected Soup Restaurant.

Just some 'homely' food to soothe tired legs and hungry stomachs.
Ah Por Fan Shu Leaves. Always spicy and yummy.



Soup of the Day. It was corn and pork ribs that night.



The Samsui Ginger Chicken.
I like the ginger part, I think many people do, that they sell the ginger in bottles now.




Approx of an average of $13 per person incl of taxes etc.

Soup Restaurant @ Changi Airport Terminal 2

Our brother has been away for around two weeks now. He has gone back to London to work again after working here in Singapore for slightly over 1 year. Everyday we look at his empty bedroom and we think of him.

This was the farewell dinner we had with him. Eating the things that he might miss. I wonder if he has already miss the food. Maybe not... Most probably only his family. LOL...

The dinner was at Soup Restaurant at Terminal 2.



We had the large Samsui Ginger Chicken. $26.80
Large because our little cousin loves this chicken and also the rest of us. :-)



The medium "Ah Por Fan Su Leaves" $12, sweet potato leaves. Now I think bro won't be able to get this in London right?



The boiled soup of the day. It was pork rib soup. $14.80 We have always liked their soup here.
I put the rib there to remind me it was pork rib soup. :-) They usually serve the soup only in the bowl.



This is the large Hometown Tofu. $17 You know steam fish taste? The sauce over the tofu taste exactly like it.



The Hometown Fried Fish Belly dish that's quite nice. $19



This is mushroom with broccoli and beancurd skin. $17.50 Nice combi.



The medium Black Pepper Venison. $17.50



Beggar's Rib. $17.50 We remember this dish to be nicer.
(I wonder if they did not marinate this dish long enough this time.)




If our brother's reading this. We kinda miss you, though we won't tell you this face to face. LOL...

Soup Restaurant @ Paragon

This was our dinner last Sunday at the Soup Restaurant, Paragon. It has been some time since we last ate here.

The Samsui Ginger Chicken that almost everyone orders. The first dish that came out, and almost immediately after our orders! The big portion of it, now served double deck.



This was a new dish that they advertise outside. Fish from the stomach area stir fry with chilli. It's quite tasty.



The spicy fan su ye.

We had soup of the day too, which I realized I had forgotten to take.

Soup Restaurant @ Paragon

On Wednesday, colleague had some business to settle in town quickly, so we followed his car to Orchard Rd for lunch. He got his stuff done very quickly and we settled for lunch.

We were deciding what to eat, and when someone suggested white chicken, we ended up here. :-)

If you love soft peanuts, the ones here are irresistible to us.



Usually, when you come here, many people either have the Ah Kong or Ah Ma "Fan Su Ye".
We took the spicy one which is Ah Kong Fan Su Ye. This is a very popular dish here.



We also had the boiled soup of the day. It happened to be corn and pork soup. Lovely.



Aha! Why we were here for. The Samsui Ginger Chicken. We had 4 persons and we had the large one! Yes, we wallop it all. We were told it had 40 pieces. That's something new to us.



We thought we wanted more veg, so we had the Yao Mak Chye with Black Bean.



This is called Eleven Tong Poh Pork.
It's quite yummy you know! Lard lovers indulge! It is actually one whole piece of meat and they manage to cut it up and raised the middle. How did they do it?



We were very satisfied.
