Birthday Celebration @ Peaberry and Pretzel, Sunset Way.

Happy Birthday to our dear cousin! It's our cousin's birthday today. But we all celebrated it last Sunday so that other cousins can make it too.

Today's also her last paper for the week before other papers starts again after a one week break.

We went to Sunset Way for diner and yes, we tried Yum Yum Thai again. But we sat in the open air and it is too dark to take any photos. We repeated what we did the previous week and came over to Peaberry and Pretzel to have our cake and dessert.

This is her birthday cake. You can see from the candles how old she is. PSLE exams at the end of the year, so you know lah... I think her mum is more stress about the PSLE than the daughter!



All the photos are grainy because of the poor lighting condition. Or you can blame it on me. :-)
This is the Carrot Cheese Cake that was on the counter display. It's freshly baked less than 2 hours ago when we ordered it.



It's a medium size cake and I think it's just the nice size. Everyone took a slice like this and it is just nice. What we like about it is it is moist inside and it does not have those usual icing on it. The top is cheese. It is just so so yummy!



The person taking our order said that they have the best souffle around. So we ordered one. We had the souffle with rum. $12

When you order it, it takes around 15 mins to prepare. Yes, you can see the chef separate the eggs, beat it up, etc... the whole process if you want. It's made fresh and right in front of you.



Does it tempt you?



The ice cream and white choc goes well with it!




We also had the Hot Apple and Rhubarb Crumble. $10
It is also very interesting. If you like the sour Rhubarb you will like this.



It's the weekend! Have yourself a well rested and enjoyable weekend!

Sis and I think in future, we shall get birthday cakes from here. The size is small enough. It seems people nowadays only take a tiny slice anyway. Also the price of it, at $16 is quite ok, comparable to other cakes outside.

Streets Cafe @ Bukit Panjang Plaza

Last Sunday, I was back at Bukit Panjang. Yes, for the 3rd straight week! Anyway, this week's lunch is at this 'yellowish' looking place, a HK Style Cafe called Streets Cafe.



The last time I was at a HK Cafe, I ordered curry. Hmm I ordered curry again at this HK Cafe! Looks like only curry with nothing in it?



It looks empty because it was a deep bowl and there was lots of yummy curry. LOL. I had to use the fork and spoon to dig up the contents. This plain looking curry is the yummiest of all the food we ordered. My sis says it has the 'malay curry' style.

Yes, another dish that allows you to wallop up all your rice.



Uncle had the beef noodle. The beef is very tender and he enjoyed it.



Bro had Sze Chuan Rice. It looks like 'dao you kuay' to me right?
It's something I have not had for a long long time. Must ask mum to cook it for us!



Sis had the Portuguese Stone Rice.
Guess what? The big bowl of curry found itself into this rice too. LOL



Aunt had the wanton noodles that had big wantons!
Sounds a bit unorthodox, but putting the yummy curry over this was tasty! hehe..



When we were paying, we realise Citibank had a 10% for the food items. Yey....



Food for thought:
In your daily speech, do people believe what you say? Is your 'yes' and 'yes' and your 'no' a 'no'?

Do you use phrases like 'seriously...', 'believe me...', 'really...' , 'you must trust me on this' way too often? It might sound that you are trying very hard to convince others that you are speaking the truth. Hmmm... Does that means that other times you are lying?

Desserts - Coffee Club @ Holland Village

Hmmm... Are both Momo and Crunchasarus Rex frequent diners at Coffee Club? They guess it correctly what desserts we had.

This is the Fruity Tiramisu. Something sweet and sourish as well.



This Chocolate Delice is very absolutely yummy! It's so chocolatey!
It is even yummier if you mix 1 scoop of it with the Muddy Mud Pie.



Guess what? We were all doing silly billy things. Posing with the food and I don't have photo of it without our silly poses.

Ya, that is my colleague's mouth. Chop off the top, so that he wont be identified. :-)
