Coffee Club @ Raffles Place

It's been a long long time since I sat down and ate breakfast slowly! On weekday mornings, I am always rushing out to work. I am one of those who will waste precious time pressing the snooze button a few times. Before you know it, you are late and you got to rush to work!

On Saturdays, if there's nothing on, I usually sleep in till 12 noon! It's the only day in the week I can sleep in! On Sundays, it's church and we try to be there at around 8:45am. ;-)

This is one of my rare breakfast posts!

Of all places, I had breakfast right in the middle of the financial district. I had breakfast with my sis. Sis and I don't work in this area, but we came here for breakfast on National Day!

We flip through their menu and decide to order from the Breakfast menu.

***

The Mushroom Bruschetta. $6.80
Grilled mushroom topped with Italian taleggio cheese on toasted ciabatta. It was also served with scrambled eggs.

A rather nice breakfast. Kinda filling if you don't usually eat so much for breakfast. The ciabatta was a bit too toasted so it was very 'crunchy'. But it was ok when you let the yummy runny scrambled egg soak through.

It came with a complimentary coffee (or tea).

I had the Spanish Chorizo Omelette $7.50.
I have thinking of chorizos recently! So when I saw this in the menu, I ordered it. I should have taken  a photo of the chorizo, roasted capsicum and cheddar inside the omelette. I would have preferred more chorizos in it!

I wonder how many eggs was in my omelette! But it was hearty breakfast.

It came with a choice of tea or coffee, and I opted for the English Breakfast Tea.

p/s Talking about Chorizos, I realised that Twisties now has a new flavour! Chicken Chorizo and Smokey Sausage. That's for Twisties/Chorizos fans. ;-P

We had recently joined their Club Royalty, and just got the members card after like 2 months of waiting. It came with some "welcome vouchers". But too bad, it's a public holiday and they don't accept it. :-(

Coffee Club @ Holland Village

This was our supper that a few friends and I had just the other day. It was the night that we had food from Curry Favor (posted here a few days ago). We were meeting another friend, and we thought why not ask him to meet us in Holland Village instead.

While walking to Coffee Club in Holland Village, we bumped into my sis and her colleagues. What a coincidence. They were wanting to eat some ice cream. They joined us instead at Coffee Club.

We initially wanted only desserts to sweeten up our mouths, but end up having the following...

Wasabi Prawn Salad. Wasabi's not potent enough, other than that, it was ok.

Sis and her colleauges had wedges with salsa and sour cream. It seems this is quite popular with people here. We saw quite a few tables ordering this too.

Goodness. More food was ordered and we even had chicken wings!

OK, back to our desserts. This was Mille-feuille (translated as thousand layers)

Wanna know why it's called thousand layers in French? Here's why.
yummy!!!!!!

Another desserts, the chocolate mousse that's gloriously rich in chocolate.

Did not take photos of drinks. They always look similar that I have given up taking photos of them. ;-p

It was such a funny night. We were chatting and laughing and eating.
So glad that I joined them instead of thinking of going home to finish up unfinished work from office.

Desserts - Coffee Club @ Holland Village

Hmmm... Are both Momo and Crunchasarus Rex frequent diners at Coffee Club? They guess it correctly what desserts we had.

This is the Fruity Tiramisu. Something sweet and sourish as well.

This Chocolate Delice is very absolutely yummy! It's so chocolatey!
It is even yummier if you mix 1 scoop of it with the Muddy Mud Pie.

Guess what? We were all doing silly billy things. Posing with the food and I don't have photo of it without our silly poses.

Ya, that is my colleague's mouth. Chop off the top, so that he wont be identified. :-)

Do you all do silly photo poses like we do? We do that quite often. No, you don't get to see it here. :-)

Birthday Lunch : Coffee Club @ Holland Village

A very Happy Birthday to our colleague, Ms Preggie. (that's an alias she gives herself in English, the chinese version is 'da du por')

To celebrate it, 8 of us who was in office went to Holland Village to have lunch. It was a pity for those who could not make it. I guess they can give her a separate treat :-)

Ms Preggie has suggested we go to Coffee Club. As it was not 1 pm, the upstairs that is bright and sunny is not opened, so we sat downstairs. It has been some time since we were here, and we realised that the menu has changed. (sad to say, also the pricing).

The 8 of us shared two starters. The Calamari Rings.
It sure is better than the ring rings on our office phones the whole day, which we think is a suffering. :-)

We also had the Spice Chicken Wings.

DP has something called "really huge chicken sandwich". It sure is big. High in calories, but he doesn't care. He is one who gets the best rating for his medical report among us.

SI had 'Gobble & Oink' sandwich. Ya you can guess what it is. Turkey and Crisp Bacon.

Was it sandwich / burger day? WY and I, both ordered the "Coffee Club Burger" each. I had the one with an egg. The beef patty is big. This thing really fills you up. The wedges fills you up more!

Ms Preggie had Beef Daube. She says it is nice, but a tad generous on the salt.
Sorry for the a bit blur photo. I realise when my food comes, the next photo that follows always get blur. LOL...

The 2 network guys in our team had the same thing. Hmmm is it an occupation hazard I wonder. They ordered pasta, doesn't it look like network cables? hahah...

Looks good ya?

ET our colleague from another building joined us too. He had the Chicken and Zucchini Baked Rice. His dish came last but he finished his food first. Is it really so good? :-)

Clever readers like you should know. What do we usually eat at Coffee Club? It's something we always have without fail. Too many photos today, shall post it tomorrow.

Food at Coffee Club @ Holland Village

Yesterday, one of our colleague said she is very very stress. We know what that means! Haha.. She needs to buy Bak Kwa and she is a huge fan of Mei Zhen Xiang. Which also means we will be having lunch in Holland Village, which has the nearest outlet. LOL...

We have always wanted to try the lunch there. We usually end up having desserts there and when we see the menu, we go "aiya, got food here, should have eaten here".

The place is also cool and quiet, good for our meetings too.

2 of us had this. Bangers and Mash. Chicken, Bratwurst and Bedder & Cheese sausages. Yum...

Miss Stress had this. Crusted Dory Gremolata. She likes it, because we see that her stress was gone after lunch!

Another colleague had this. I tell you, we all went ah.. because it smell so good. Chicken Cacciatore. Chicken cooked in red wine and it says a healthy portion of veg in the menu! haha..

Another colleague had this. Err forgot to get the name of the dish. Must find the receipt first. hehe..

We were full. But die die must eat dessert. Becoming like ritual when we are here.
If you remember, we have tried ALL the desserts in the menu. Except for this one. It was always not available. haha..

So here it is... Lychee Panna Cotta. The sourness of the strawberry blends in so nicely with the vanilla ice cream. (They ran out of the original ice cream and asked if they could substitute it with vanilla ice cream) Yes yes, we like it! haha...

Without fail, we always have this. Mud pie. We always wonder how big the piece will come. haha...

We have to thank colleague who decided to treat us lunch. Thanks!

Have a great weekend.

Ice Cream Weekend....

I think I have too much ice cream for the weekend. Just around a few hours ago, I had the muddy mud pie from Coffee Club.

Yesterday, after dinner, I had some Ben & Jerrys.

Actually yesterday morning, I also had Dark Choc Gelato from Magnolia that's in my freezer.
Do you like ice cream like me? hehe...

Coffee Club @ Holland Village - desserts after lunch...

If you have been following this blog, you must have realized we come here often. Colleagues and I will always end up here after treating the birthday person to a birthday lunch.

We sat down and realised, we have tasted every single dessert on the menu! (except the fruit fondue) These are the few that we ate this time, those that we have eaten, not showing it here anymore. (We usually order 2 or 3 mudpies! This time only 1)

This is Hazelnut Nougat Parfait. Absolutely delicious!

Chocolate Enchantment. Oooo. This is very very good!

Birthday girl's cappucino.

Someone's coffee.

My shake. Err I actually forgot what flavour it was now. oops..

There you go, this time only 5 of us. Boss also could not make it.
