First meal of 2013.

Every last few hours of the year and also first few minutes of the year, our family don't get to watch the fireworks or do the countdown. We are in church by choice. Many churches have Watch Night services, and the church we attend has one too.

SacramentsSacraments

Part of the Watch Night service is what Christians call the Sacraments. It's also known as the Holy Communion or The Lord's Supper. It's Christians having Bread and Wine as symbols of Jesus dying on the cross to forgive our sins. You can say it's a 'celebration' of forgiveness.

That's my 'first meal' of 2013, taken slightly after 12 midnight on 1 Jan 2013.

It's not my intention to 'evangelise' here, but if you ever wondered what it is all about, you can ask a friend, relative or colleague who is a Christian about it.
