This was lunch last week, when we thought we miss eating nice Indian Food. We knew that there's a $9.90 buffet going on and wondered should we go for it. We knew when we order ala carte it will be around $10 per person. So we thought we shall try it.
There are around a total of 20 different things to choose from, and it has vegetarian items too.
But I was not really interested in eating vegetarian stuff that day, so I took the meats. The two meats in the tiny bowls are Butter Chicken and Masala Mutton. I had two servings of the chicken and 1 serving of mutton. The mutton's very good and does not smell gamey at all.
I also like the fried ocra very much and I had seconds of it too. Some rice and some curry with cheese stuff and that's it. I did not touch other stuff. It's very filling, so you can't eat much.
Other colleagues who went also ordered almost the same thing. :-)
The selection is small, but for the $9.90 nett price, it's quite ok.
But many of us had like 3 or 4 servings of this dessert!
Badam Kheer - Milk based dessert made from almonds, cardamom and saffron.
(the yellow stuff is saffron, I tried to scoop it. LOL Saffron is really expensive you know!)
Yes, it's sweet but it somehow makes you wanna keep eating it!
It's very filling and the food's nice, but you get filled up very fast.
The buffet does not include the Tandoori that is very nice here. Maybe the next time we are here, we will go back to the ala-carte menu ;-)
The buffet lunch is from 11.30 am to 3.00 pm. Call them to check if it's still available if you are going to try it.

Khansama Tandoori Village @ Science Park I
Every now and then, the few of us in the office will crave for some nice Indian food. If you work in the west side of Singapore, you most probably have been given a flyer by this restaurant called Khansama. They will have someone at the train station giving out flyers, they slip their flyers on the car windscreens. They have people standing at traffic lights giving out flyers. In short, you can't miss them. LOL..
Maybe their boss believes it's an effective method. Maybe it is after all. When we want to have some decent Indian cuisine, we think of them. So, the few of us took the free Science Park shuttle bus to Science Park I.
So this was what we ate to satisfy our cravings. Their tandoori chicken. Unlike other places where their tandoori chicken's always dry, theirs is always moist. One of the better ones that we like.
Dpuk and 'Old Cat' both had their Chicken Tikka sets. 'Old Cat' was too tempted by what's written on the menu, all the different ways of preparing chicken all on a plate. It looks good right? Enough food to stuff them silly.
A bit of close up ya. They look really tempting right?
All of all different ways of preparation, both of them said this 'dark green' style is the nicest of them all.
I had the Chicken Briyani instead. It comes in a steeel bowl and two bowls of sauces.
Nice and crispy. Dip it with the youghurt sauce and it's delicious.
There's around 4 chunks of chicken hidden inside this bowl of fragrant rice.
Another colleague 'pirate' had I think the butter chicken set meal.
His came with the super sweet dessert 'ping pong' ball. haha...
Satisfied our cravings for a while. :-)

Khansama Tandoori Village @ Science Park 1
It has been a long time since we had our Friday Indian Food day. We were going to go somewhere else, when we realise two colleagues could not join us. Then it was like 'ting ting' in our heads. Hey, the two who don't like Indian food is not joining us, let's go for Indian food today!
So it was 6 of us. On our way out, our boss asked, where are you all going for lunch? We said Indian Food at Science Park. We were surprised that he said he will join us. He's the very picky and healthy eater leh. haha...
We have been here before, you can play catch up by viewing the previous makan photos here.
We have been here a few times and also took the set, somehow we decided to have communal today. So, this is what was ordered.
The Chicken Tandoori. It is very good here. For the namesake of the restaurant tandoori got to be good here!
We also had Fish Tikala. Very nice too, though a tad salty.
We wanted naan, so we ordered the assorted basket.
The other dishes we had. This is chicken curry. Can't remember the exact name. The curry for this is what I love most. :-)
Two colleagues die die must order this. Chick Peas. Actually it is quite nice.
The is the mutton curry. Marvelous too.
Make a guess. Do you know what it is?
It is very fine spinach and cheese. Our veg dish :-)
We also had the briyani rice. The rice and the naan goes superbly well with all the curries.
Maybe we might come back next month on another Friday. There's still so many things to try here. This place gets quite packed, so be there early if you have a big group.
Oh yes, our boss 'belanja-ed' us. Thanks Boss! :-)
This place is located at Science Park 1.

Khansama Tandoori Village @ Science Park 1
Last Friday I was on leave, so colleagues came here, they say this place is not bad, so today the 3 that came last week became 5 of us. Yes, all Indian food lovers.
This place is a very interesting. You see lots of interesting deco. This is right at the door. There are more, but I did not take other photos.
All of us settled for set meals. There are 3 non veg and 3 veg ones.
I think you all can guess which ones we took.
This is how the set meals all arrived. It comes with rice and 1 naan, and 1 crispy crispy piece of I don't know what its called! haha..
This is the chicken set. The first bowl was the chicken curry, then the peas whatever that is really really yummy!
The next to it was the chickpeas curry. Next to it, the yoghurt thingy. On the most right, the dessert.
This is the mutton set.
This is the fish set that I had.
Last Friday, they ordered tandoori, so this week, we ordered something else. Sorry, can't remember the name of this. (will update it when I find out from colleague who ordered it).
But the chicken was good!
We also ordered an extra Mix Bread Basket, which consist of:
1 Plain Naan, 1 Garlic Naan, 1 cheese Naan 1 Butter Naan & 1 Tandoori Roti
As usual, just take a photo of the details, so you know where to go.
Their website lists out the full menu. We are thinking of going back again next Friday to try out more stuff. We were admiring other things that other tables ordered. haha...
(You might wonder why Friday? We usually go out for lunch in a group, but lots of people are clearing their annual leave slowly, and our "i no touch indian food" colleagues seems to be taking Fridays off till the end of the year. haha.... we happy, they also happy.)
