Sis, Momo and I thought of having some Korean Food, and we were wondering which of the Korean places to eat around Bukit Timah area. There are a few to choose from, there are around 5 places to choose in this area.
We chose Woori Nara because we knew this is the least popular shop around. We were hoping there were no one around when we reach there so we could have their full attention. LOL! We were hungry and wanted to have our food as soon as possible.
But alas, there were people around and we still had to wait for our food. ;-p

The pancake we ordered this time did not taste as crispy as the previous time we had it. We remembered it to be nicer the last time. Probably it is thicker this time round. The last time it was thinner so it was crispier.

This time we tried a different chicken. We had half a 'garlic and soy' fried chicken.
Super crispy fried chicken with garlic and soy sauce over it. The chicken was served piping hot. We could not resist it and ate it right away.
We realise it taste better a bit cooled down. (we conclude it is because the sauce has soaked through to the chicken)
The chicken is probably the dish we enjoyed most here.

We remembered the last time we were here, the Koreans who ate here will usually order the hot pot.
(We assumed they are Koreans because they speak Korean and have the 'Korean look'. haha.)
This time we saw the Korean table beside us also ordering it and enjoying themselves. We thought we should try it too.
It has lots of kimchi, bean sprouts, sausages, luncheon meat and a piece of big instant noodle. Plus some fermented soy beans and garnish on top.
The taste, it is spicy! This dish is boiling over fire so it gives two kinds of heat. This boiling spicy soup sure is potent. Our eyes were a little teary and we were blowing our noses while eating.
It's like an overdose of kimchi, sausages and luncheon meat! I think as Chinese we will not order it again. I think most Chinese like their luncheon meat fried and have a little crispy outside. Do you all agree with me?
But I guess when it's a cold rainy night, it might be a good night to have this.
I wonder if it's to go with Soju just like in the Korean Dramas?

i don't really like kimchi, the taste of the vinegar with the veg... :(
but the chicken looks delicious :)
p.s. Keropokman, have you accepted my invitation at 'Delish Recipes' yet? :)
Zannnie,
There are many types of kimchi and the time they take to ferment it. There should be one type that you might like :-)
