This was our dinner at OldTown White Coffee at Yuk Tong Avenue, near Cheong Chin Nam Road at Bukit Timah.
It was a humid night and of all things, we wanted to have Nasi Lemak. We could go to food centres and get some Nasi Lemak, but our minds kept telling us, "no you will regret going to the food centre with no air-con".
So, we thought of OldTown White Coffee!
Their Nasi Lemak is not too bad lah. Not the best around, but on a hungry night this was what we could think of and it's not too far from home.
We like it because it has everything. Peanuts, crispy fried ikan bilis, fried chicken wings, falf-boiled egg, cucumbers and generous of sambal.
I had my nasi lemak with OldTown's cold chocolate drink.
Sis had it with a hot lemon tea.

OldTown White Coffee @ Bukit Timah
Got a friend that has been going to this outlet to eat / study the last few weeks. Everytime he's here, he'll sms us to join him for the dinner part. Usually, I will be too lazy to get out and meet him for coffee.
Yesterday, I thought I should meet up. So, Momo, Sis and I met up with 'Gorilla'. LOL
It was not only coffee today, it was for dinner. I had the Nasi Lemak Special. $5.50. Sis got the same thing. I get tempted by sambal. :-p
They are quite generous with their kacang and ikan bilis and they have nice cold cucumbers.
Momo and Gorilla had the Nasi Rendang Set. $7.90 Just replace the fried chicken, hard boiled egg, kacang and ikan bilis with a big chicken rendang that you get this.
This photo does not show you the size of the chicken, but it is a huge drumstick.
Gorilla must be hungry. After his Nasi Rendang, he ordered a Curry Chicken Toast. $6.50
The more we look at him eat, the more tempting his chicken curry drumstick becomes. But we were too full to eat it anyway. So gorilla enjoyed himself eating it while telling us stories.
The toast is the brown bread toast. 3 pieces of it.
Oh, the usual drinks are ordered. White Coffee and Black Coffee. $2 each.

Old Town White Coffee @ Chun Tin Court
Was with a few friends having 'supper' at OldTown at Upper Bukit Timah area. We had dinner earlier and at 8:45 pm, quickly drove back to my place so that the TV addicts in the group can catch the Little Nyonya on Channel 8. (We watch this show because of the food, really! LOL)
Then at 10pm when the show ended, we went to OldTown to have coffee and chit chat.
Pardon the dark pixelated photos. We were seated at a 'cosy' corner. hehe...
The ice 'Xi Mut' / 'stockings' tea.
The Nanyang Memorably coffee. (yeah, funny name right?)
The kaya and butter toast that we had.
We saw ice cream toast and could not resist.
It's a nice combi.
We were about to leave when we got a call from Doc Cheng. (He asks where were we and he is coming.) So, we thought we better order more things or else we would be occupying an empty table. So we ordered two "Ice Fire Polo Bun".
It's the name that aroused our curiosity. We wonder huh? "Si Mi Lai" eh?
This is it! Hot warm bun with...
Cold butter melting inside..
I find it ok, but momo says not nice.
So, when Doc Cheng arrived, he asked what's there to eat, we told him, try the polo bun. He ordered the tea with another toast..
We noticed that the Doc (who comes from HK), flattens the polo bun with the fork. When asked, why, he says, that's how it's eaten in HK. Ohh......
He says good polo bun have the top layer that comes out easily, so you got to press and flatten the bun so that it stays. When we ask him how this one taste, he says, quite ok. But the closer version is the one from Crystal Jade.

Old Town Coffee @ Chun Tin Court
Was back again at Old Town Coffee a few days ago. This time to have lunch instead of just having drinks. Nearby food centres are just too warm and humid for these few week's weather. Seeking refuge at air conditioned places.
We had the Nasi Rendang Chicken. It was served in brown paper on a basket. How interesting. It's those 'tapow' (takeaway) brown paper. The portion's quite big. You will get very full.
This one comes with a drumstick.
I think the price is around $8 or thereabouts.
This is the curry mee. (or rather Curry Kuey Teow, since we asked for Kuey Teow:-) )
Looks overly generous with oil ya. $5.90
A hot lemon tea. It will dissolve some oil from the above dishes. :-p
$2.90
It was such a hot day, we had I think 5 orders of the "Xi Mut" milk tea. I think I am getting to like this tea more each time I drink it. :-p $2.30

Old Town Coffee @ Chun Tin Court
Old Town Coffee. We popped by after lunch on Sunday. This seems to be a new branch. The 'one' that people talks about in Singapore is at Big Splash. It's certainly no splash here, in a cosy and quiet neighbourhood.
After having lunch, cousin still wanted to have her favourite eggs. On the menu, it says Omega Soft Boiled Eggs. They must be using the Omega enriched eggs then.
One of the two cups of the famous Ipoh White Coffee.
Cousin and I had the iced 'Xi Mut' Milk Tea.
(huh? what's xi mut is panty hose in Cantonese, otherwise known as Xi Wa in Mandarin. LOL)
This is the hot milk tea.
The kaya butter toast. It's dark brown, not the usual white bread that's toasted.
What we saw inside was like curly fries strips of butter. :-)
They are quite good.
Nice change from the usual Ya Kun, Toast Box etc....
