I met sis and momo for dinner at Sushi Tei. Instead of Japanese cuisine, we had Korean cuisines here instead!
I was late a few minutes for dinner because of the nasty jam. Sis and Momo was too hungry so they have ordered and started eating. They had finished the cold noodles, ala Korean. It's similar to the usual cold noodles - Hiyashi Chuka, but the Korean version had kimchi instead ($12). Quite tasty!
*** Kimchi and Tako Okonomiyaki. ***
The Korean pancakes! A slightly different style from the usual pancakes you get in Korean joints, sis the Korean pancake lover and also an okonomiyaki lover, adored it!
It's the Kimchi and Tako Okonomiyaki. $10. I enjoyed picking on the kimchi. Their kimchi here looks like what most of us like, not the overly fermented version.
*** Crunchy Tuna ***
This was a nice nibbling snack. It's called Crunchy Tuna. $9.
Tuna wrapped with seaweed dipped in some batter and deep fried. Looks like a simple recipe that you can replicate at home for the coming festivities.
*** Salmon and Pork Kimchi Nabe ***
This was our final order. The Salmon and Pork Kimchi Nabe. $22. It's similar to the usual various nabe we usually have here, but this had been 'korean-ised'.
We noticed they used a smaller pot which was a bit difficult to cook. The soup boils over and make a little mess. The pot they used for the normal nabe would have been better.
I took this with my camera phone. Sometimes camera phone takes clearer photos depending on the lighting. The kimchi was my favourite ingredient in the dish above. They had two soup bases to choose from and we opted for the spicy option. We finished every bit of it! There's a photo of the empty in the instagram I posted. :-)
