Last weekend, Momo, Sis and I, we thought we will just go to Liang Court and see what we can eat. We looked around and ended up at Okinawan Diner Nirai-Kanai. Remembered that Camemberu blogged something about the other branch at Tanglin Mall.
When you are seated, you are given 3 pieces of menu, and everything's combo meals. To make things easy, we just took Combo sets 1, 2, 3! LOL...
I had the Saba-miso stew combo. $15
Chub mackerel stew with soy bean paste. Fish was a tiny bit fishy, but I like fish so it's OK for me. (but not for sis and momo LOL)
This is one of the side dish, kelp with meat, and the Okinawan donut.

Sis had the Pork-Ginger Combo. $15
Pork cooked in soy sauce with ginger. Just replace the mackerel with the pork and it's the same as the set above. Sis liked her order.
Momo had the Hamburg-Steak combo. $18
Beef burger with Japanese sauce. Look quite nice ya.

After the meal, it was time for the donut. We finally turned it over when everyone finished their meal and this is it. How does it taste like? It taste like cakes that we eat growing up. A bit like baby biscuits!! :-)

how odd, an okinawan donut! i didn't see that at the main branch leh. i suppose it's just flour, water, sugar and butter?
Saba not my favourite fish though. I always find very fishy, pretty much everywhere. The wafu burger looks nice, but no comments on how it tasted...? :P

The one that you went looks nicer I think. Less things to eat too.
The donut taste so so baby biscuit. maybe plus a little vanilla essence too? hehe...
I only pinched a bit of the burger.
I think I grew up eating lots of mackerel, so I like the taste. Sis hates it though since young too! LOL
