Ice Cream Toast @ Ya Kun - The Central

After the lunch that we had on Saturday, some friends just had to have the coffee fix. You can clearly see those who are having caffeine withdrawal. haha... So we all went to Ya Kun for drinks.

After we were seated, one friend volunteered to take our orders and we all decided to be naughty. All of us came out with a different combination of drinks for our order taking friend. All the 'si', 'siu tai', 'gao', 'po', 'kosong' etc.. you know what I mean ya?

I think there was like 8 different kinds of order. For me, I had Milo Peng Si, Siu Tai. Does it even exist? Well, it does! The taste? Err... I would say I should have ordered Milo Peng Gao instead.

Another friend who had this reputation of ordering lots of things, 'did it again'. Half way through our drinks, he excused himself, and surprised us by ordering 4 plates of Ice Cream Toast!

Thanks to him, here's an all ice cream toast post today.
1. Chocolate Ice Cream Toast.

Ice Cream Toast - Chocolate

2. Raspberry Ice Cream Toast.

3. Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Toast

Ice Cream Toast - Choc Chip

4. Durian Ice Cream Toast.

Ice Cream Toast - Durian

We are all so 'old school' eh?

I hope you all had a good day of rest today. It's so nice to have a day off on a weekday. ;-)

To all Muslim readers, a very Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Maaf Zahir dan Batin.

i wonder what's ur size, haha. always have space for more food after a meal. think: expandable bags/luggages?

i can't live without caffeine either! i'm rather confused about ordering kaya toasts. is that on each plate in ur pictures considered "Jit Deh"? good thing that nowadays we have choices to order in sets with pictures to refer to. if i don't want in sets, i don't know how order liao.

The ice-cream toast reminds me of ice-cream man at HDB blk. Ringing the bell and all the students flocked over to buy ice-cream bicuit/cone.

I think thin wafels r especially made so that it wont break like bread toast would.

My fave childhood durian ice creams were sandwiched between sweet corn bread. I hv tried them with plain bread at home. It's a little salty but just as nice :-)

Since Swenson n American 36 flavours came to SG many moons ago, the calories (or the portions) were overwhelming. My hubby once ordered 15 scoops of multi-flavours at Swenson's. It was the biggest bowl ever ! It has put me off ice cream for good :-I

LFB,
Only primary school? I think I never stopped. hehe..

Anon,
This is ice cream toast. I did not order this. Usually it is 'jit deh' ;-)

Sistafood,
Do you get students selling ice cream at your doorsteps? I do sometimes. They usually sell Kings ice cream.

Dutchie,
Ya, the 15 scoops are meant to be shared. I have not seen anyone eat them by him/herself. hehe..
Did you share with him?

Adel,
:-)

Oh no, I had dinner there, so he shared it with my young nieces who were more fascinated with the multi-colors than savouring them - haha.
