Nogawa Restaurant @ Le Meridien

We were all anticipating a lunch here. Colleague who arranged this outing said that most of the reputable Japanese Chef has its roots from the master chef here.

Just beside the Le Meridien Singapore Hotel Lobby is Nogawa.

We started by ordering sashimi for 7 persons. It was fabulous.
It came in two big platters. This is one of them.

This sashimi platter came with a fabulous price too. $135 per platter.
(We had a jaw dropping reaction when we asked for the bill. LOL...)

The rest of the sashimi goes with the soy from the table.
But for the saba, there was a different sauce that they served us in a different saucer with chives.

We also shared a Cod Fish Yakimono $20

The set meals we have on tomorrow's post.

Heard about their famous Sashimi as well as the hefty price tags that came with it - now I am seriously contemplating whether I should pay them a visit.

IMHO, unless it's set lunches, nobody should eat Japanese with a budget. Hefty price tag comes with top grade (& service) quality sashimi at Nogawa.

Moreover, this place's not the most expensive high-end Jap restaurant in town.

But Nogawa is a chi-chi restaurant, right? Hotel restaurants are usually so expensive.

Many years ago, we went to Mandarin Hotel Singapore for the Peking duck. OMG, my parents almost had a coronary heart attack when the bill came.

At Nobu NYC, the miso cod fish entree is about $30, and it DOES NOT come with any rice or soup. Even the rice is a la carte.
