Kim's Family Restaurant @ Lorong Kilat

This was our lunch on the day that Bukit Timah flooded!

One colleague wanted to have Korean Food for lunch. Why? Our boss came back from his vacation from Korea and brought us lots of goodies like the Jeju Island Chocolates, Seaweeds and Ginseng Sweets, etc. Ya, with that we were tempted to have Korean for lunch!

Our first thought was Sarang at Science Park, but we thought that we might not be in the mood for high end high price dining today. So we thought it's cheaper to take a cab and head to Lorong Kilat and eat delicious home style Korean food instead. :-)

One of the reasons for coming here... The selection of side dishes!

Galore of Side dishes

We discovered they have new sides as well! We like them all, all 12 of them!

One of our favourites is the Pork Bulgogi. Even Korean food has 'wok hei'! The fragrant and spicy Pork Strips is so yummy!

The same colleague who like the instant noodles from the Hong Kong shop the other day likes Korean style Instant Noodles too. OK, we all got convinced instant noodles cooked by restaurants does taste a bit different.

Instant Noodles Soup

Spicy Rice Cakes. Something we always order. Today the chef decided not to make it as spicy which is good for us.

For our hard work in the office that's draining us of all our energy, we decided we should nourish ourselves with Ginseng Chicken Soup!

Our beef soup lover colleague says he needs this. OK, we ordered it for his sake.
Spicy Beef Soup. Lots of ingredients too!

This is one place that we always enjoy coming to 'pig out'. We did pig out by having ice cream two or three doors away! We were stuffed and there's always a spare space in the stomach for ice cream. :-)

Hmm. Other than the delish+nutrish Ginseng Chicken Soup, no one has converted me to the charms of Korean cuisine yet. But darn, these pics sure look good... :)

Try watching the korean drama Da Chang Jin (Dae Jang Geum) and see if you salivate through the whole series.

The recent one we watch,The Grand Chef made our household think of Korean food too.

Next time, we go eat?

How is it that your pork bulgogi look so yummy? My family ordered the same dish but it came on a hot plate and is was wet - not as dry and yummy like yours? How come?? What is the actual name of the dish?

Julie,
I have not been back to this place for some time. Maybe time to go back to try the octopus fried rice eh. ;-)

Sasha,
Hmmm. I can't remember the exact name. But their DIY menu with photos shows it right? I think it was pork bulgogi, no? I will try to remember it when I go there again.

Miso,
