Bak Kut Teh @ Balestier Road Coffee Shop

Wah! Someone actually got the quiz yesterday right! Must be a regular there I suppose :-)

Come to this stall if you like very peppery, or super peppery style. If you like more herbal style like me, you might want to give this a miss. haha... But it was still quite nice.

We were sitting beside the kettle of hot boiling water, so we were feeling hot! Then near to us is the stall holder preparing our food.

We had individual portions. Each one had a bowl of pork ribs and the soup is being refilled as we finish it up.

I love kiam chai, and this is the kiam chai that comes with it.

For others, "you tiao" is a must. So the person who says is a must ordered it. (psstt I only like you tiao in rojak! :-p )

We are decocratic when we go out to eat. Another colleague said, must eat with Pig's Trotter, so we also ordered a bowl of this to share.

So, do you and your colleague go around and eat? Do you order food like we do? Democratic decision?

me and my colleagues makan at those canteens around Jurong Industrial areas. Cheap and hearty meals.

Have your tried Founder Bak Kut Teh at Balestier, below New Orchid Hotel(i think!)? We were joking if the owner's name is Tan Ah Founder.

Those industrials estates have super gems! Excellent food.

Tan Ah Founder, suddenly reminds me of a classmate called King Faun!

I used to go out a lot with coworkers from my old job.

We would go to the New York Restaurant Week celebration (the festival lasts a couple of months actually) where top restaurants in the city offer prix fixe three course dinner for $39.95.

Now they have Restaurant Weeks every Fall and Spring.
