This was part of my lunch today. We were at Food Republic at Wisma Atria and we happened to find a table for 5, just in front of this stall. I have never tried their chicken rice and decided to give it a try.
The name of the stall is Sergeant Hainanese Chicken Rice. This is the set meal that I ordered. It also comes with a bowl of rice and soup that are not shown here. $6.
Quite decent. It seems all the stalls in Food Republic is some famous stall in Singapore. So I did a online search. Aha.. The founder of Sergeant is one of the original chefs that made the Mandarin Hotel Chicken Rice famous in Singapore.
Just wondering... Any chicken rice fans around? Where is your favourite chicken rice stall?

isit?...
talk about that mandarin hotel chicken rice...so expensive! so-so only. kinda touristy, i think. my personal fave is tian tian at maxwell. perhaps it's the chili sauce :)
the stall at Margrat Drive is not bad... if u dun mind paying more, boon tong kee is even better :P
The hawker centre at Clementi Town Center has a highly popular chicken rice stall.
There is always a queue and the stall sells only from 11am to 2pm and 4pm to 6pm. After these hours, they are sold out.
Run by several men, they give you a generous amount of chicken. Basically, they chop 1 chicken into a fixed amount of portions. The price is cheap too for the quality and quantity.
Oh yes, I tried the chicken rice at food republic before, it is nice. One of my favourite stall is Wee Nam Kee chicken rice opposite novena church.
I quite like the one on Purvis Street. Its just opposite the beef noodles shop, across the street. In fact, i just went there for lunch today :P
Actually, I love chicken rice.
And one of my favorite stalls is exactly Sergeant in Food Republic in Wisma Atria!
