One place for September babies who holds the Sushi Tei card must go is Sushi Tei. Birthday babies get 20% the total bill. I am a sucker for such stuff.
So what did we have at Sushi Tei? Chawanmushi..
Prawn Sushi Roll, with meat floss coating it. Quite nice ;-)
We had 6 of us, and those who have big appetite order something to fill their tummy. Others just share stuff. My cousin can just survive on this. Salmon sashimi on rice.
We had a voucher that entitled us to have a sashimi salad. So we ordered it. It's quite refreshing esp with the tangy dressing.
Sis and I shared the cold noodles. This is the one with the sesame seed paste dressing. Delicious.
Bro is a big eater. He had the tempura rice set.
Every few months, we realise they have some promotion. This time, they have Pork Kimchi. It was good. Kimchi always gives you a bigger appetite after eating.
For the rest of us, we all shared the big bowl dish again. We always enjoy having a hot pot on a portable burner on the table top. We also love the spicy soup. Very satisfying. (and salty too)
Oh yes, we also had the scallop too. But it seems the price and the quantity has changed. LOL. It used to be 4 per serving. It is now only 2.

I've never seen a sushi roll with meat floss on the outside, although my mother used to make ones with pork floss on the inside. Mmmm... Floss...

My mother-in-law used to be one of the cooks in that outlet, she cooks the hot food like tempura. Now that she's retired, she has sworn off cooking Japanese food. LOL!
