Hawker Food: Bak Kut Teh

It was last Saturday morning, I was hungry while viewing Food Blogs like Rasa Malaysia and Sim Cooks etc.. then a friend called, ey wanna go eat at Botak Jones at Clementi? But the queue was too long, so we ended up at a Kopitiam beside Clementi McDonalds. Here's what we ate.

Bak Kut Teh - $4

Kiam Chai (Salted Veg) - $1

It's not something very spectacular, but it's not bad lor. Can eat, wont "phwee" it out of your mouth kind. haha.

But it reminds me few years ago in Melb, we cooked Bak Kut Teh, our ang moh neighbours caught the smell, knock at our doors and ask, what are you cooking that smell so good? yes, we gave them part of our dinner.

Botak Jones is a American Burger joint, but all open in coffee shops. They have one in Ang Mo Kio, another in Tuas, recently just opened one in Clementi.

Durian, the whole block might chase me out of the building! Err, I dun really like durian anymore. :-p

Have you heard of the 14 year old Malaysian Bak Kut Teh King?

It's a new type of bak kut teh that is dry with a dark sauce. He entered it in a competition. Wow, siok!
