Happy Wanton Noodle @ Bukit Timah Food Centre

I was deciding to skip dinner tonight because I am not really hungry. Sis texted to say that she's at Bukit Timah Food Centre, and I can join her there. So I detoured a bit and met her there.

Walking around to look for something quick and easy, I had a 'Happy Meal', not from Mcdonald's but from the food centre.

Wanton Noodles from a stall called Happy Wanton Noodle. Hey, this stall's really really popular. The queue's always very long. But at around 7:15 pm, there's no queue at all. ;-)

Happy Wanton Noodle

The wanton and the soup. The soup's saltish and sweetish. Nice for a few mouths, but not the whole bowl. ;-)

Happy Wanton Noodle

The wanton noodle is surprisingly quite springy and delicious. I am not a big fan of wanton noodles, but I think this one's quite nice.

Happy Wanton Noodle

$3 for the above. Much cheaper than the Happy Meal from the two Mcdonald's that around 200 metres away from this food centre. But you don't get any toy here though. LOL...

Pardon the dark blur photos. If you know this food centre, there's not much light!

I had myself some wantan noodles yesterday too, but with a slathering of "Thai chicken" on top... Nice, small serving of goodness when one is not too hungry.

Hmm.. great minds think about what to eat alike!

Am imagining how the 'thai chicken' taste like :-)

The wantan noodles are so so, nothing special. The taste is always not consistent, and very salty with a lot of black sauce. The owner is quick unhygienic, I saw him removed his sock and wore his shoe without washing his hands before handling noodles.
The best wantan noodles I would recommend is at the Merling Street Blk 164 coffee shop, I cautious you, you must have patience. Go at non-peak hour to avoid waiting for half an hour or more.

Oh really. Hmmm. I will be more careful. :-)

It tastes quite good actually. I had it the next day (:
the noodles are indeed springy. Well, unhygenic food can sometimes be awesome (:

Oh my god. The wanton noodle is so tempting :)
I think, Singapore is a good place for this kind of food :)

Anon,
Haha... as long as it's not the 'Rojak' case, I guess it's safe.

But the soup's a bit sweet right? The noodles are nice though.

Nichan,
Good and nice food can be found anywhere. :-)

this stall has been suspended for 2 weeks! I think hygiene problems, cockroaches ?!?!

Hmmm or is it the hawker himself?
Look at what someone above said.
