Pork Chop Rice (Tapow) @ Top Seafood

The Swines were wrongly accused and they were really sad. For most of us, we believed in the pigs and we still ate them. Nothing happened to us.

Now, the truth is out, the swines have been maligned. Pigs are safe to eat! To apologise, the flu has been renamed Influenza A (H1N1-2009) now. What a mouthful the name is now.

So pork eaters rejoice. Do you know Pork Eaters have been given a name, and Nic from KHKL calls us Babitarians. Nice name eh?

Talking about pork, so you can guess my dinner is Pork.

--------------------------

This is my dinner tonite. Came home late, it was around 10 pm and I 'tapowed' pork chop rice home to eat. This was my brother's favourite dish when he was working in Singapore. I wonder if he can get this easily now that he's in UK. Lol.. Hey bro, miss us (and your fav pork chop) or not?

Usually it has 4 or 5 pieces of meat. You see only 3 here, 2 more hidden below. $4.50
Quite reasonable ya?

Pork Chop Rice

Bought it from Top Seafood which is a Zhi Char at Blk 18 Coffee Shop at Toh Yi Drive. They have a branch at Sixth Avenue and Bukit Batok too.

*drools* - rice with char siu or sweet-n-sour pork goes for 8,50 euro here. That is S$ 17,00 !
Usually they dont fill the tummy, so hv to order a bowl of soup (also too small portion) for 4 euro. Eating out will land us into the poor house - haha.

I hv just bought 2 packs of char siu marinate (made in Thailand - they hv char siu there ?). So am looking forward to a nice, long overdue treat :-)

actually, pork is one of the safest meat to eat cos it's never eaten raw, unlike other meats. so, hooray! the piggy triumphs once more! great way to clear the air, dude!

Dutchie,
I know. Vacationing in Europe makes us poor too.

Ya, Thai people eat lots of pork! Their roast pork is excellent there.

This looks AMAZING!! My New York husband only recently discovered pork chop rice and now he can't get enough of it. Next time we're in Singapore, we're definitely checking this place out! Thanks for posting...
