ieat Makan Session at Joe's Kitchen @ Bukit Merah

Last nite, some 45 gluttons met in a HDB shoplot restaurant called Joe's Kitchen. It was a makan session organised by ieatishootipost.sg It was like a dégustation menu or sorts. Usually dégustation menus are not filling, where you slowly and carefully taste and appreciate various food.

This one was truly for makan kakis. Food was flowing out of an overworked kitchen. (that even caused a momentary power failure.) The chef's Joe from a Esarn and married Jamie from Singapore. Joe's previously from Parkway Thai.

The feasting started with this spicy peanut paste. My taste buds are not that good to pick out exact ingredients in it.

You eat it with rice crackers with this 'ayam brand tuna paste' look-alike and taste-alike thingy. It was yummy by the way.

Next was this golden nuggets of prawns.

If you are wondering how it looks inside. Here you go...

Next this pretty little container was brought out.

In it was glutinous rice, extra sticky!

The rice is to go with this Thai Papaya salad.

The rice is to go with this Thai BBQ Chicken.

Wait, the rice's to go with this Pork Neck. Thai Char Siu. ;-)

What else did we eat? Stay tuned tomorrow.
If you can't wait, you can visit EastCoastLife's blog to see her review. I have not seen her for about a year I think! You get to see the Chef's photo too on her blog.
