Yesterday's photos were what I ate. The others with me ate other stuff.
I did not take all of them, but here's some of it.
The Singapore style Prawn Noodle.
Fried Kuay Teow
Fruit Rojak.
A food diary of Keropok Man with his folks and friends. Featuring food that's eaten in Singapore.

It was interesting reading at yesterday's comments on today's post. It's at Raffles Town Club.
No, I am not a member of RTC, but someone brought me in :-) It was after church, and after waiting for everyone to be ready it was already quite late. We were already very hungry, so we took the quick ala-carte option.
I had Nasi Goreng Istimewa. (or something like that, I forgot liao...)
This is it. Fried Rice with an egg on top, 1 piece of fried chicken on the left, achar behind, and satay on the right.
This is the yummy satay.
I had chocolate ice cream for dessert.
I have been having lots of Nasi Goreng, I have no idea why. Maybe I shall post other nasi goreng pictures the next few days.
Hmmm. I wonder if anyone is able to guess where the next makan place is going to be?
By just looking at this.
Just testing and see, wonder if anyone will respond :-p
There were other things that we ate, but I was a bit shy in taking photos, only these two dishes.
The Xiao Long Bao is good! It's as good, if not better than Din Tai Fung :-)
This is their sign board at the glass wall.
Last Saturday, went to the Tree Top Walk at Mcritchie. After that, we were invited to have lunch. Lunch was at this place not too far away at Upper Thomson Road.
The place is called Shang Hai Ren Jia.
With a name like that, you can guess the cuisine. The Jian Bao is something you should try here.
Yummylicious!!!
The inside has juices too, but this one half the meat eaten by me and the juice suck out when I pry open the bao! haha...
It's at 906B Upper Thomson Road, Singapore 787110. Tel: 6456 7752
Continuation of the food from yesterday.
We also had sharks fin soup.
Then next was this roast chicken. Look at the head! haha..
This is cereals prawns.
A vegie dish to top it all off for this series.
Hope you enjoyed looking at it. We sure loved eating it!
Our cousin from UK came over, so we went to this place to try out the other food here. It's the Kek Eng Kee Seafood place again, but this time we sat at the aircon place.
The 'cold plate'. It is quite interesting, the combi for this one. Starting from the right is the spicy squid. It's not the normal reddish jap kind. But dark soyish colour. There's meat balls made from diff combi of meat, in the middle, eggs with taugeh, and behind deep fried tauhu pok.
This is how the tau hoo pok looks close up. There's veg, ham, fake crab etc, all inside a piece of big big tau pok and deep fried with batter.
The scary fish yesterday. The scarier it is, the tastier it is? hahaha...
This is actually dark san lou hor fun. Usually it is whitish right? This one is dark and comes with 2 raw eggs on top. You mix it up, it taste so so good.
Guess what other things we ate? :-P
Look at the teeth of the fish! It's either you eat it up, or it will eat you up! hahaha...
More pictures of the feast tomorrow...
This is duck noodles. Colleague's food while I ate the food in yesterday's posting.
I think I just realised that one of my colleague must be a super duck lover. Most of the time when we order our food, his will be duck!
One of my fav food is Mei Cai Kou Rou. Usually, you will expect dark not so soupy fat meat with more mei chai than kou rou.
Look at this version. Initially I thought the wrong order came. It has lots of meat and it is chunks instead of slices. It is also soupy, looks more like Bak Kut Teh right? The soup is not salty and the mei cai is below it.
I guess it must be the different dialect style cooking. I kind of like it. It's at the very packed coffee shop at the turning from Commonwealth Ave West to Holland Drive. It's $4.
This is something that I eat quite often, and I think I have never took a picture of it until last week! This stall selling Wantan Noodles is at the Amoy Street Food Centre.
This version is the kuay teow (rice noodles) version. This stalls combination just makes me happy eating. I get wantons, char siew, mushroom, veggies and 2 diff kinds of chilli. Maybe it's just me, but it is delicious. $2.50 / $3.00
I think this shall be my last birthday cake posting for the moment. I think it's a bit too much. haha..

This cake was my sis' birthday cake. Hmm I forgot where it is from! I forgot to take photos of the box. LOL... But it was tasty.
More cakes. Are you all fed up of Birthday cakes yet? I realise I have so many more of them.
This cake was for Alex, one of my CG mates. It's a cake from Prima Deli.
You know how old he is now. haha..
Tigerfish, I know you all talking the truth. LOL. I wonder what you all can think of for the following slice of cake. haha..
More birthday cakes coming...
It's still on the theme of Birthday Cakes.
This one is very delicious and tasty. This pic is a bit old.
It's cheesecake topped with peaches in jelly.
Here's a view of the inside.
I think it's homemade by one of our friends. I fogot :-) But we do remember who the birthday girl is :-)
Yesterday's cake is obviously for an adult. This one is different. It is obviously for kids.
Would you like this cake for your birthday? The inside of the cake. It's also a chocolate cake.
Yesterday's cake comments made me laugh so loud. I wonder what comments you all will give for this one. haha...
This was taken some time ago. One day before a meeting, a few of asked the birthday girls to quickly come for a discussion. Well, it's a surprise and super quick celebration for the 2 of them.
Here's the cake. It was very very very chocolately and fluffy and so so delicious.
The cake's from Angie the Choice.
The whole cake in its full glory.
A look at the inside of the cake. Feel like tasting it? Mua ha ha ha....
This is simply lickalicious! The chocolate outer layer of the cake.
Happy Birthday to Jennifer and Adeline again!
For your convenience, I have included a google search box here. If you are interested to look for this cake shop, enter "Angie The Choice" in the search box and do a google search.
Some of you got it spot on! It's Rojak! I love the 'you tiao' inside it!
This is Bak Kut Teh, sorry picture a bit blur :-p It's the peppery type.
Mee Siam. This is what I had. The 'tau jiu' taste is very strong :-)
This is Satay Bee Hoon.
The Yong Tau Foo Laksa.
There you go, a few of the most well loved local food of Singapore, all in one place.
Our family sometimes pop by here if we are going shopping in Robinsons. Why? It's nearby lor. It's fast and food's not bad too.
Prima-taste Kitchen. Where they are famous for the pre-mix and paste that makes cooking so easy. I think lots of people especially those who miss Singapore/Asian food will cart back tonnes of these stuff.
I shall not be posting any food pics today. People complain that food pics make them hungry. Well, this place you queue up and the lady at the entrance will find you a table. Pass you an empty pad with food list inside. Tick what you want and bring it to the counter and pay.
After paying you get wooden tokens like these above. Yes, we ordered something twice! It was just yummy and we were feeling a bit greedy. haha...
This empty plate is what we ordered twice. Can anyone guess what it is? The leftover are some hints. LOL... Stay tuned tomorrow to see what we ate here.
Meanwhile, make your guess.
This is the final installment of this series.
This is braised sea cucumber and duck. Delicacy!
Veg with fried ikan bilis on top. Just look at it!
If you like 'tua tow', look at this generous serving!
For this price, it's absolute a delight!
Guess what! It seems that if you have an OCBC card, you get 10% off! (coffee shop leh!)
What shall I eat next?
Many people who come here order the Hor Fun. Just peep around the tables. haha.. It's actually quite good. It has the burnt wok taste, just a hint to make it smells and taste so good.
This is sambal cuttlefish and kangkong. Delicious oh...
This is one of the 'signboard' dishes (jiao pai cai). It's Marmite Chicken. Kids love this! So do I!
If you are a pork lover, try their sweeet and sour pork. I think I still prefer Marmite Chicken :-p
Well, we have 4 more dishes, wait till you see the price tomorrow, am sure you will dash there!
Sunday night, our family decided to eat here. It's at Alexandra Village. For half of us, its the first time here, looks like we might be coming back!
It's at Block 124, Bukit Merah Lane 1. It's actually a coffee shop. But the zhi char here is the main thing at night. It also has an aircon section in the next block.
As usual, we have to wait for the food. :-) And people are chatting and playing with their mobiles.
Those who are thirsty will be drinking first. This is my barley drink.
Wait till tomorrow then see food pictures ok? haha...
Have not been back at Miss Clarity Cafe like over a year. Today, sis and I we were catching a play at the Drama Centre at the National Library of Singapore, so we pop by since its so near.
People in Singapore, go catch the play called TiTouDao. It's really good. Pam Oei is really good. So are the other cast like Karen Tan, Sebastian Tan, Beatrice Chia, Chua En Lai, Aidli 'Alin' Mosbit, Gordon Choy and Judy Tan. Book at Sistic. Shows from 1 - 31 March.
Back to food. We ordered Chicken Ballotine and Chicken Cordon Bleu. We made it into a set so we get a drink, salad or soup and dessert.
Miss Clarity is at 5 Purvis St, #01-04, and this is how it looks.
The salad.
Chicken Ballotine. Yummy isn't it? Still as good as it was previously. Roasted Chicken.
Chicken Cordon Blue. Deep Fried. The yellow thingy (not the more whitish sauce) is the cheese inside that melts.
Dessert is a tiny piece of Bread Pudding. Looks simple but taste very good!
Price: $8 for each main dish. $3 to top to a set. So total for everything was only $22.
Super reasonable ya? Such good food too.
Other food bloggers in Singapore have blog about this. Do a search and read their reviews. I only like to post photographs :-)
TCC is a popular place for many to have coffee / drinks. I am not a coffee drinker so I shall not comment on coffee. But I am sure it's good.
If you are wondering what TCC stands for, their serviettes have some suggestions for you :-)
We were there quite some ago (around 8 weeks ago?), I dug out these old photos.
The cheesecake. I think its Oreo if I am not mistaken. My memory's not that good, thats why I blog food photos. haha...
This is the tiramisu.
This is some apple smoothy thingy I had. How innovative yah? That's not jelly! It's some preserved food that's been turned around. It's something bigger than a cherry. They stuck some mint leaves over at the bottom and turn it over.
Have a good weekend.
We also ordered lots of pizza. We had the option of having half half. So we just ordered many combination of halves.
I have no idea what they are. But you can play a game and guess what they are. :-)

Here's part of the menu that has the pizza. Just play mix and match ya..
If you are wondering how big and the price, it's also listed in the menu here.
Bon Appetit!
You remember I told you about the Estivo Gelateria place we went a few days ago? Well, we actually ate at Peperoni Pizza first. 20 over of us were meeting for our regular monthly eating meets to celebrate birthdays.
We order a few starts and around 8 - 9 plates of pasta. The table was very long, so I did not take photo of every dish. We were too busy eating and talking!
For starters, we order Portobello Mushroom with Parmesan Cheese & chicken.
Calamari Fritti, Deep fried squid rings, lemon mayo & tomato sauce.
Here's pictures of 3 pastas:
Linguine Arrabbiata: Red chilli, garlic & tomato sauce.
Fettucini Vongole: Clams in white wine sauce.
Penne Funghi & Pollo: Button Mushroom and chicken in brown sauce.
Tomorrow, I shall post all the pizzas that we tried. Stay tuned!
This was actually taken about 1 month ago. 4 of us went to La Mian Xiao Long Bao to have dinner. Here's what we ordered.
I have ordered this before, but the friend of ours said we should. It's nice and I tell super potently spicy! It's Wantons in spicy chilli oil.
I will never get sick of eating this. Deep fried Eel. Yummmmmmeeeee.
Another of my favourites. I think you might seen this countless times. Long Beans and minced meat.
This is white pork and its absolutely yummy!
What's coming to a Xiao Long Bao shop without eating Xiao Long Bao? Here goes...
This is red bean pancake. We ordered this for dessert. Just look at the red bean oozing out!
Enjoy!
Din Tai Fung is a famous Taiwan chain that has branches all over the world. Sis and I like this place because of the freshly made Xiao Long Baos.
This branch we visited was in Raffles City Shopping Centre. Our friend visited from overseas and we brought them here for lunch.
The Signboard right in front.
We like this starter. It always makes you want to have more. Its savoury and taste just so yummy.
This is prawn. It has been wrapped with tofu skins. It is crispy outside and the prawns inside is fresh.
The Xiao Long Bao. The big steamer if you order has 10 of them.
This is the Siu Mai. Cute huh. The prawns are on top.
This is beef stripe noodles. Tempted? haha...
Four of us shared all those stuff. Had a good time chatting and catching up as well.
Glad you came back for Part 2.
For those who chose fish, this is the Pan Seared Sea Bass Fillet, Vintage Vinegar.
I took my neighbour's dish. haha...
The desserts were Beer Sorbet with Vanilla - Marinated Strawberries Own Juice & Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I split the photo into 2 portions.

Mignardises. Yummy yummy chocolates.
Since not everyone took them, I had a taste of every kind there!
(I took some from neighbouring tables too! - I was walking around for official duties. hehe...)
Here it is... The end of the luncheon celebrating the wedding of Charles and Elaine.
If you have been following my other blog, you can guess that the food section will follows the occasion.
It was a western Wedding Lunch, instead of the traditional Chinese 8 Course Dinner. It's something quite refreshing.
The pictures were all taken without flash, so its a bit yellowish, as the ballroom was litted very dimly with warm lights.
Here it goes:
The menu for the food.
The Napolean Crab & Barley Salad with Tomato Gazpacho & Virgin Olive Oil.
I actually quite like this!
Different types of bread rolls were served.
Wild Mushroom Consomme Brunoise of Vegetable.
We were all wondering what it was. haha.. But it tasted good. Took this with flash, else everything's black! :-p
There was a choice of Fish or Chicken. I took the Chicken.
Roasted Chicken Breast, Natural Jus Garnish with Port Wine Risotto, Sauteed Asparagus Spears, Confit of Vine Ripened Tomato.
(As usual, when I posted around 5 photos, the rest goes into the next's days :-) )
We were having a wedding rehearsal (read today's Singapore Daily Photo if you want to know more about that) and after it was over, we were famished.
We walked around and ended up here, at the Beef Kuey Teow shop at Purvis Street.
The shop front. (side note: it's amazing how many places in Singapore all call themselves popular in their sign board. haha...)
This is the dry version, with everything in it, HUGE size.
This is a bowl of beef balls only.
This is mine, none of the innards, but only beef slices and beef balls. Medium.
This picture is suppose to show you how big the XL size is. But from this angle, it does not look at that big. That bowl is actually the soup bowl that's used in most chinese restaurant. Look at the can drink and compare. haha..
It's very tasty, but for me personally, I usually prefer not so salty food, so this is a tad too salty for me. But I like it. yum yum....
Continuation from yesterday's post.
They also produce French Sticks. They are being fermented.
Look at this old old machine used to slice bread!
The men at work! That oven in the wall is supposedly very very old. Heard that this building is to be preserved as a heritage site. It's very very hot!
See the huge bread/buns that was in the above picture? We were there till they brought it out to the racks. Just beside the traditional black crusted bread.
A close up for you to see. You feel like having some of the bread now?
Hope you like this traditional bread series.
