Some shots of the lunch we had at Bukit Timah Food Centre today.
Walked around and did not know what to eat. End up eating CKT. From Stall 02-181. The stall somewhere in the middle, beside the Chai Tow Kueh stall. Heard that this old man has been frying CKT for a very very very long time here. Yummy...
The urge for rice flour produced food did not end with CKT. I had 2 pieces of Chwee Kueh too. ;-)
Sis had the pasta from "Mien" instead.
Looks plain? But it's tasty and very fast. You get it done in 2-3 minutes.
What's this? Ham Chim Peng. Forgot the stall number, but this was what was left. It sells out very fast. Many like the 'you tiao' here.
Hope you had a great week.

I like the food here ... think wanton noodle, fish soup, satay is nice!
I would like to recommend a simple, unnoticable stall that sells fried CKT and fried bee hoon, this is located somewhere opposite the poppular fried hokkien mee.
I find the fried bee hoon very yummy ... try and post some pictures? ^o^
It's so rare to see many good stalls in one place. Haa, still haven't managed to come here yet - was an idea when we first discussed outings. Tis far and nowadays very hot!
pinkhippo,
noted, will go and check that CKT and FBH out :-)
in the next few months, if things turn out ok, i might be staying so near this place. then i can try out every single stall. LOL
camamberu,
not very far lah. i saw edder's fav beer stall. it's full of the different types of beer. think your hubby will like that stall. :-)
Chicken rice!!!
benita,
can i ask, what's the stall number of location of 'the chicken rice stall'? I have yet to eat any chicken rice there after all these years! :-)
love their satay beehoon!
mee too! but the queue's long...
Wow..!! my favourites..!!! char kway teow .. and chwee kueh..!!! boo hoohoo..!!
CKT is not the same when u fry it at home, but Chwee Kueh, it's easy to make at home. I think you can get the ingredients at where you live. Chai Poh from Chinatown?
No chai poh here ahhh.. :( boo hoo hoo..!!
next time come back, bring loads of it back! hehe..
i know many people who 'bring back' lots of ingredients to wherever they are staying. when i visit aunt in angmoh country, they want the ikan bilis and hae bee from here much more than anything else. :-)
Wah lau eh...the Char Kway Teow looks totally fatal. Bue tahan sia... I stay overseas too long liao..miss all these singapore food.
yong,
come back for a fix of all the local food you miss! ;-)
